periphery magazine is…
a creative space for LGBTQ+, people of color, and women to express themselves through writing, art, film, design, and music. it's a diary, an outlet, and a platform for underrepresented voices to be heard. periphery is not just a magazine—periphery is a community of creatives dedicated to continuing conversations.

disclaimer!
though we promise to read and review any artwork or writing submitted, periphery reserves the right to reject any submission received. if a piece doesn't fit our desired theme, image, or subject, it is not reflective of your talent. we encourage anyone interested in being apart of our team and community to continue to submit.
because we are an independent, non-profit magazine, staff member positions are unpaid. all donations go directly towards the operational functions of periphery and make a huge impact, as the senior staff pays for all out of pocket costs! donations do not guarantee accepted submissions or staff member positions.
as a magazine seeking to amplify traditionally marginalized voices, periphery is committed to promoting inclusion. through fostering a supportive, diverse community, we learn, build empathy, and grow in our understanding of others. periphery welcomes all creatives regardless of sex, race, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, education, disability, national origin, languages spoken, culture, ethnicity, religion, age, or belief.
